Located in Lenno, a sunny sought after village due to it’s proximity to tourist sites and villages as centrally located between Argegno and Menaggio (10 minutes drive north and south) so villa’s, parks, beaches can all be easily reached by car or ferry. The greenway famous walk also can be found through villa taking in wonderful vista’s and magical scenery.

Lenno is home to all amenities from the ferry and boat hire to a golden sand beach, supermarkets, restaurant lake view diners and pizzeria’s so there is something for everyone here. Please ask for recommendations. We live in the village so can recommend places to visit, restaurants etc to help you get the very most from your stay.

One a double, the other a twin. A private balcony with a table to enjoy breakfast or evening drinks with the lake and mountain view back drop is available. Sofabed for 2 more guests in the living room.

About the area:

Lenno is home to some of the most picturesque scenery in Italy, never mind Lake Como (featured recently on the Holiday programme, BBC1, November 2006). Artists have visited Lake Como in their droves over many years.

Coast/Beach:

15 minutes walk down from the apartment, a man made sandy beach can be found. Lido di lenno is the perfect position to enjoy glorious lake views whilst waiters bring you your favourite drink beneath tented marquees as you lay on the beach. This beach, like the restaurants in Italy, is extremely child friendly.

Travel:

The apartment is just over 1 hour from Malpensa & Linate Airports in Milan. Please enquire for flight operators and is approximately 1 and a 1/2 hours from Bergamo Airport. Fly with BA, Easyjet, Fly BMI or Ryanair. Car hire is not essential as there is a waterstop for the boat and coach stop close to the apartment however we do recommend car hire to help you enjoy all of the beautiful places you can visit in and around Lake Como.

Distances:

The famous lido di lenno beach is found 15 minutes walk from the home plus from the lido beach you can catch the water boat (5 minutes) to Villa Balbianello, probably the most romantic scenery in Lake Como as featured in the James Bond 007 film, Casino Royale. The water ferry stop provides access to all parts of the lake plus the bus route passes directly through lenno village. Please ask for preferred day trips in order to get the most from your stay.
