Casa Paradiso is genuinely a slice of paradise, boasting breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Como that make you feel good to be alive. You can see from Villa Gaeta (made famous in the 2006 James Bond movie “Casino Royale” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKysEIVJfBs) all the way to stunning Bellagio. Surrounded by mountain ranges dotted with picturesque villages you will have to drag yourself away to enjoy all the pleasures the Lake has to offer.
This stylish 3 bedroom apartment has been designed with pure pleasure in mind. It has it’s own private garden with olive trees and a jasmine covered pergola. You can eat inside or outside but always surrounded by light and dreamy lake views. The apartment also enjoys a shared swimming pool with even more stunning panoramic views of the Lake. There are sun-beds both at the pool and in the apartments terrace where you can put your feet up and while away the afternoon.
Accommodation description
The apartment is beautifully furnished in contemporary style with all mod cons. It is open plan and drenched in natural light unlike most Italian apartments. In almost every corner of the apartment you will enjoy the spectacular views i.e. from the garden, the generous balconies, living areas, master bedroom and ensuite and even whilst you are cooking should you chose to do so in the generously appointed kitchen!

If you feel you can tear yourself from your home, the delights of Lake Como are waiting to be discovered. Palm lined lakeside walks in the village of Menaggio, homemade gelato, a public Lido with swimming pool and lake side swimming, fabulous cuisine, famous Villa’s, inviting beaches and 22 miles of Italy’s most dramatic lake are waiting to embrace you.
The apartment is 5 minutes by car outside of Menaggio further up the hill. You can walk into town in approx. 20 to 25 minutes or explore on foot local restaurants, the local historical village of Loveno or walk along an ancient Roman road to a local Church at Nobiallo that plays Ave Maria at 8am and pm every day – the only sound you will hear apart from the odd hum of a bird or boat on the lake!
There are also fabulous hikes up the dramatic mountains behind the apartment and all the other attractions up and down the Lake including the chance to bump into George Clooney in the nearby Laglio! You are only 20 minutes from the Swiss border and Lugano and 40 minutes one of the best“Designer Outlet” shopping Malls in Europe i.e. Foxtown in Mendrisio.
The large 200m2+ apartment includes 3 bedrooms: 1 very spacious double Master Bedroom with private terrace and ensuite and huge 2 person shower that also enjoys lake views, w/c and bidet. A second double room and a third twin room all with ample wardrobe space and quality bedding and a second bathroom with shower and bath, w/c and bidet. There is a third w/c and bidet upstairs in the living area.

A magical place you simply don’t want to leave. The house is well-equipped and offers plenty of space for six people. The mattresses are very comfortable and the surroundings are peaceful, allowing for a truly relaxing stay. However, since there’s so much to see and do in the area, you should definitely venture out from the house more often. The booking process was seamless and the staff very friendly. I would come back anytime!

Stunning property with incredible views of the lake. Great pool for our kids to spend time in and Menaggio was a perfect location to explore Lake Como from. Lovely open plan living room/kitchen diner and good sized bedrooms. Great recommendations and attention from Barrie and Julie throughout. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The wonderful thing about this apartment is that it just lends itself to chilling out completely. The view of Lake Como from this apartment must rank among the best and the wonderful thing about it is that you can sit and admire it all day if you wish. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner looking at the view, you can even lie in bed at night and look at the view. There is plenty to do on the lake and plenty of places to visit but when the apartment is so comfortable and so well-equipped, from time to time it is so nice just to chill and do nothing. When you do want to go out, however, Barrie has plenty of advice about the best places for the apero, the best places to eat, the best places to buy your wine and your olive oil, it makes everything such a pleasure which is what holidays are all about, and why we return every year.

Our stay in Menaggio was exceptional! A beautiful view of the Lake and mountains from our villa and the pool also had a wonderful view! We loved eating outside under the arbor. We had drinks at night on our deck overlooking the lake. We had something to do everyday from renting a scooter and visiting different towns on the lake and stopping at restaurants and wine bars! We hope to come back one day!!!

Barrie and Julie were wonderful hosts and the property couldn”t have been any better suited for our friends to celebrate Christmas. Home was well-outfitted with plenty of room to socialize or to enjoy relaxing, quiet time. Great to have dedicated parking garage and just a quick trip down the hill to Mennagio”s village center, ferry stop and easy access to other villages along our side of the lake via car.

The apartment is set up above Menaggio, it is a walk of about 25 minutes to reach the town ( and the boats to other towns !) There is a cut through part of the way so you don’t have to walk by the road . The walk is worth it simply because of the view from the apartment- simply stunning. The town of Menaggio is pretty and the ferry takes you to any other places in the lake, loved Bellagio and don’t miss Villa Balbianello. The apartment is large and well cared for , the garage is an extra bonus,

The views we simply incredible. Breakfast under the covered patio had a beautiful breeze in the morning. Evenings on the front patio with the most amazing views. Fireworks across the lake and a double rainbow were some of our favorite evenings at the apartment. The morning swim was a great start to the day. We saw a few other guests but never felt we lacked any privacy and normally had the pool to ourselves. The twin beds were a bit too firm and more hand towels would have be helpful but we would love to book another stay here. Hopefully soon. Barrie had great tips on things to do and was easily reachable. We didn”t want to leave.
