The home is situated in the charming and authentic village of Sala Comacina. The home consists of two bedrooms a bathroom, kitchen and living room overlooking its own garden with fantastic views of the lake and mountains. Only 3 minutes by car down to the lake, restaurants, bars and shops. The living room opens onto the private patio and garden where you can enjoy beautiful views overlooking the lake. The apartment is situated in an a quiet elevated position that catches the sun for most of the day and being on a no through road there is little passing traffic. In the village (500 metres away) you will find restaurants, mini market, butcher, bakery, bank and superb wine bar and other local amenities .The position of this apartment is ideal for those who seek tranquillity and also for those who seek fun and excitement. The only island on Lake Como (visible from the apartment garden) is a very short boat ride from Sala Comacina’s beautiful Piazza. The town of Lenno is a 5 minute drive away where there is a larger supermarket, numerous lakeside restaurants, a Lido with a sandy beach / beach-bar and the unforgettable Villa Balbianello.

Ferries reaching many towns up and down Lake Como depart from Lenno and Argegno (both 5 minutes away either side of the village) in addition to some limited

departures from the village itself and also from the island. From Sala Comacina you can follow the lovely lakeside walk (Greenway del Lago) in addition to accessing many walks from other lakeside villages. In the hills behind the apartment there are wonderful alpine walks where you can buy freshly made cheeses from the ‘Alpe’ farmers. This locality will allow you spectacular elevated views of Lake Como and Lake Lugano.

Sala Comacina is a medieval village on the western shore of the lake midway between the town of Como (south of the lake) and Menaggio (centre of the lake). The village centre boasts restaurants, where you can sample typical lake cooking, shops, a bank, boat and ferry service and a few bars. Lido di Lenno is approximately 2km away, and the exclusive beach is one of a handful that has sand. The Lido is a popular place in the day for beach lovers, and equally as popular in the evening when it is transformed at sunset into a plush bar ideal for aperitif and then into the evening for restaurant food and lastly open air disco. For sports lovers there are ample choices with tennis, golf and horse riding close by whilst further afield there is windsurfing (25km) and Skiing Resorts (150 km). In the village of Ossuccio (7 minutes away) you can hire self-drive speed boats (40 hp engine) to explore the lake yourself and perhaps dive in for a swim. Water skiing and kayaking is also available. Steps to the apartment may be difficult for elderly, infirm or disabled, so please check individual suitably before booking.

“Well-maintained apartment. Not very large, but functional and fully equipped. The garden is nice and spacious, and the view of the lake and the mountains is phenomenal. It has a comfortable lounge set and a large awning. In Sala Comacina, there’s a sandy beach by the lake, about a fifteen-minute walk away. The neighboring villages of Ossuccio and Lenno offer more in terms of restaurants, shops, beaches with amenities, and a market, for example. Keep in mind it’s at least a forty-five-minute walk. The road by the lake is busy and narrow, often resulting in traffic jams. That’s why we didn’t use the car there. The private garage is a big plus. The pool was also nice, but according to the house rules, you’re not allowed in during the hottest part of the day. A minor drawback, in our opinion. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay. If you don’t mind walking a bit for various amenities, it’s definitely recommended!” 5 stars.

The apartment is extremely pleasant and well equipped, the furniture is high quality and nothing is missing to spend a good time.
The swimming pool is a great place to cool down as it is located next to the steps on the stairs.This is regulated and it is not possible to do us an inflatable object.

Exceptional views of Lake Como . Very beautiful outdoors space. The apartment is not very spacious with a bedroom with a window overlooking a cellar. Restrictive pool access to pool pool access (9am-12pm and 3pm-7pm).

We had a wonderful time and a very nice place to stay.
