This contemporary, luxuriously furnished ground floor split level apartment is one of nine in a stylish complex completed in 2010, with private balcony and shared garden, BBQ and communal pool Jacuzzi and sauna. Located in a tranquil spot but convenient for visiting the mid-lake sightseeing towns of Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna and the attractions of the western bank, down to Como. It’s only ten minutes from the nearest beach, restaurants, local shops and ferry point and not far from the Lake’s top attraction – Villa Carlotta.

About the Area:
Cadenabbia and Griante are two parts of the same place – Cadenabbia on the Lake front and Griante about 50 metres back. Cadenabbia is a short drive from the mid-Lake town of Menaggio and short ferry ride to Bellagio and Varenna, the three main sightseeing locations at Lake Como. On the slopes behind Griante is the church of San Martino, in a spectacular location, and just over the road from the ferry point is a lovely Anglican church. Just down the road in Tremezzo is the Villa Carlotta, a popular attraction.

“Matteo was an incredible host, who gave us lots of recommendations of places to eat and services in the local area. He was always contactable via Whats app if we needed anything or had questions. The Airbnb itself was spacious and clean, with a stunning view from the pool area and outdoor seating. The beds were extremely comfy and the washing machine was so handy to have for a longer stay.
A local pizza place was our go to, but other restaurants were just a short walk down the steps into town.”

“Our family of four loved our stay here. The location is unbeatable and the swimming pool and hot tub were such a great luxury. The apartment was extremely spacious and remained cool on very hot days especially in the downstairs area. The only thing which was lacking was a few household items you need if you are staying a whole week. Thank you so much for an absolutely fantastic holiday. We would love to be back in the future.”

“Matteo welcomed us very warmly. Before we arrived at the apartment, he sent us a video of how we had access to it, which made it much easier for us to arrive.
He is very available and friendly.
The apartment is great. We had access to the pool and hot tub directly from the fridge in our room. Ideal with a baby.
The village center as well as the sailing port to get to other villages are 10-15 min walk away. For the return, it’s the climb all along but it didn’t bother us more than that.

There was a small plumbing issue whilst we were there which he got fixed right away when notified with no fuss. The apartment is perfect and has stunning views from the balcony. “We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Griante 2. The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed for a family of 5 including our 6 month old baby.
Matteo was very helpful on check in and gave us a list of recommendations for restaurants and excursions.
The boat trip that was recommended was fabulous.
The pool area was shared with other guests, there was enough sun loungers for everyone during our stay.
We had a pushchair and baby carrier, we used both the stair route and road to get down the hill to where the bars, restaurants and water taxis were. It was a good work out getting the pushchair back up the hill each day, helped us to work off some of the many ice creams we consumed.
The supermarket at the bottom of the hill has fresh bread, cheese, meats etc.
Bar impero is a must for ice cream, drinks and croissants. They also have food and sandwiches. We visited daily, lovely seating area by lake. It’s a 10 min walk.
