A modern apartment in Lenno, one of the most popular and warmest villages on the Lake, on the favoured west side.
The property is located off a quiet secondary road within the much sought after town of Lenno close to the lake and village centre where all amenities, shops, banks, bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance (200m). The apartment is approximately a 3 minute walk to cafes, pizzerias, supermarkets, bus routes and lake tours. More restaurants, bars, a gelateria and shops can be reached on foot in approximately 5-10 minutes, as well as the beach Lido, restaurant and bar. The Lido is a popular place in the day for beach lovers and equally as popular in the evening when it is transformed at sunset into a plush bar ideal for aperitif and then into the evening for restaurant food and lastly open air disco.
There are 2 ferry stops in Lenno and Campo, both within walking distance of the apartment. Boat hire is available where you can reach Villa Balbianello (007 Casino Royale), this is recommended as the view should not be missed. Richard Branson’s Villa Cassinella is also located here in Lenno. Tourist villages such as Menaggio, Tremezzo, Bellagio and the town of Como are a ferry ride away. Menaggio and Tremezzo can also be accessed by the local bus, or tourist train, which departs from Lenno and is a fun way to travel. You can also walk to the ‘Greenway’ (less than 2 minutes from the apartment) which is ideal for walking along Lake Como and taking in the views. There is a golf course and horse riding within 7 km and further afield there is windsurfing (20 km) and ski resorts (150 km).
The apartment is approximately 1 hour from Malpensa & Linate Airports in Milan and 1.1/2 hours from Bergamo airport. BA, Easyjet, Fly BMI and Ryanair are carriers. Car hire is not essential from Malpensa as you can take the train to Como and then catch the boat to Lenno or take the local bus. However we do recommend car hire to help you enjoy all of the beautiful places you can visit in and around Lake Como.

Excellent Location, Beautiful Views and Relaxing!

We were a party of 3 and had a wonderful holiday staying in the ‘Vecchia Luna’ apartment. The apartment itself is modern, bright and has a very relaxing feel, with a great lake view. It is excellently located to enjoy the restaurants, bars and beach lido in Lenno, while still being within walking distance to the boats, buses and express train for visiting the other, more touristy villages around the lake. The local contact was Gemma who couldn’t have been nicer, she was very helpful and gave us lots of useful information about Lenno and Lako Como. The apartment was very well presented with excellent facilities and lovely hosts that made the holiday even more enjoyable. Elaine and Rennie were very helpful and answered any questions we had promptly and offered us a list of places to go and things to do. You can really tell that they have put a lot of love and care into the apartment decor and finishing touches. We will definitely be back to stay again on our next visit to Lake Como! Thanks again, we had a ball.

Lenno is home to some of the most picturesque scenery in Italy, never mind Lake Como (featured on the Holiday programme, BBC1). Artists have visited Lake Como in their droves over many years.
Villa Balbianello here in Lenno also featured in Casino Royale (007) and Star Wars.

Golden sand man made beach just 10 minutes walk from the home. The lido di lenno becomes a sophiscated beach bar at night, ideal for cocktails or dinner next to the lake.
The apartment is just over 1 hour from Malpensa & Linate Airports in Milan. Please enquire for flight operators and is approximately 1 and a 1/2 hours from Bergamo Airport. Fly with BA, Easyjet, Fly BMI or Ryanair. Car hire is not essential as there is a waterstop for the boat and coach stop close to the apartment however we do recommend car hire to help you enjoy all of the beautiful places you can visit in and around Lake Como.
10 minutes walk approx. to the ferry stop to visit all major villages or from lido di lenno beach bar you can catch the waterboat (5 minutes) to Villa Balbianello, probably the most romantic scenery in Lake Como as featured in the recent James Bond 007 film, Casino Royale. Please ask for preferred day trips in order to get the most from your stay.
The village is just a short walk to the local bars and restuarants. We will be happy to recommend our favourite diners, just ask!
The nearest supermarket can also be found here in the village.
The local bank is also just a short walk from your home. Boat hire can be arranged on request. Supermarket with bakery, pizzeria, mini market all 5 minutes walk or less from your home so car hire really isn’t necessary!
The town of Lenno is approximately 20 kilometres north of Como town and is famed within the area for its Lido (100 metres) away with its exclusive beach one of a handful that has sand. The Lido is a popular place in the day for beach lovers and equally as popular in the evening when it is transformed at sunset into a plush bar ideal for aperitif and then into the evening for restaurant food and lastly open air disco.
For sports lovers there is ample choice with tennis courts available next door to the Residence whilst golf and horse riding are within 7 km and further a field there is windsurfing (20 km) and Skiing Resorts (150 km).
