The apartment is perfectly positioned to reach Villa Balbianello (007, Casino Royale filmed here in Lenno).The only man made sandy beach in Lake Como is nearby as well as an array of bars and restaurants plus all amenities from supermarket to wifi cafe just a few minutes walk! The property includes secure, private gated parking however ferry and bus near by means car hire in unnecessary.

About the area:
Lenno is home to some of the most picturesque scenery in Italy, never mind Lake Como (featured recently on the Holiday programme, BBC1, November 2006). Artists have visited Lake Como in their droves over many years.

Coast/Beach
As well as the secluded shingle beach, just 2 minutes from the apartment, a man made sandy beach is situated just 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Lido di lenno is the perfect position to enjoy glorious lake views whilst waiters bring you your favourite drink beneath tented marquees as you lay on the beach. This beach, like the restaurants in Italy, is extremely child friendly.

We just loved the view! So peaceful.. the apartment is spacious, everything you need is in the apartment. Our host was very helpful! Would recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay here here in Lenno, the home is close to all amenities including the ferry stop, some excellent restaurants and pizzeria and the Sigma Supermarket (3 minutes by foot) The little beach in front of the home we had completely to ourselves-it”s a real, hidden gem! The home is exactly as advertised, spotlessly clean and with a view we never got tired of from the balcony and as the ferry stop is close by we parked our car up at the home for the stay. Lenno, we think, is the perfect location as easy to reach more touristy locations not forgetting the lovely lake front which we enjoyed an afternoon”s walk and many an ice cream. A special thank you to Julie and Barrie whose invaluable tips and local insights on where to visit (and where to wine and dine like an italian) ensured we settled in from the minute we arrived. We will definitely recommend the home to our friends and hope to return next year.

This property was perfect. It is 5 min. from the grocery for fresh bread and supplies, 10-15 to the ferry or restaurants, and the 14 Km Green Path taking you up and down the coast is just 20 feet out the back door. The view from the deck is exactly as pictured. It is filled with sunshine in the morning for coffee and sunrise and shaded in the evening for wine and cheese. The apartment is spacious, sparkling clean, water is hot and bed is perfect. It was a glorious week and a great memory.

Great apartment with fantastic views of Lake Como

The owners Barrie and Julie were fantastic even before we had arrived – they booked a restaurant for us, as it was a busy holiday weekend, and arranged for local food to be in the apartment. Then on arrival we were met by Barrie, who went out of his way to help after we left a bag on the bus and he drove me around the lake to retrieve it!
The apartment has an amazing view of the lake, is well equipped and perfect for a family of 4. We spent one week here using public transport. It’s a short walk down to Lenno, where you can get the ferry across to Bellagio and Villa Carlotta. Family highlights were kayaking from Ossuccio around Sala Comacina, a trip around the gardens and house of Villa del Balbianello, and walking up to the Sacri Monti above Lenno. The supermarket was 5 minute walk from the apartment. Local restaurants were friendly and ice creams great. We will definitely go back!

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is siutated with windows shutters for each room. Air conditioning is not necessary however fans are available if required. We welcome all well behaved children. Cot and high chair available on request ahead of vacation. Wifi internet access. Satellite TV with a selection of UK channels. Outside: The balcony which faces the lake houses wrought iron patio furniture for 4 diners. The property benefits from it’s idyllic lake position with a secluded shingle beach accessible just 2 minutes from the apartment (see pictures). Private, secure remote control gated parking with private space for your car located off the lake road. The bus stop is close to the apartment less than 1 minute walk for guests arriving without a car. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and bedding are all provided 90 euros final cleaning.The apartment is kept spotlessly clean throughout. All linen is freshly laundered for every guests stay. Extra linen supplied on request for stays of 2 weeks or longer at time of booking. Other: Lenno enjoys a sunny position on the west side of the lake, in fact the only olive oil produced on this side of the lake heralds from Lenno “Vanini extra virgin oil” is produced and sold direct from the factory a few minutes walk from your home!
