This is a wonderful property and convenient to everything. We loved our stay here, especially the beautiful view of the lake from the patio where we spent many hours! Barrie and his wife were very helpful too. I would echo others comments that there is noise from the ferry bar in the middle of the night (2-3 am) but if you bring earplugs you should be ok! Thank you Barrie!
The location of this apartment overlooking the ferry is a huge plus. Additionally, the grocery downstairs is so helpful. Combine that with close proximity to the town center and lake walk-path area – it’s a great choice! The hosts were very responsive and communicative. The place itself has all the necessary and many extra conveniences. The apartment is well spread out to provide several places to relax and not be cramped with your fellow guests. I would recommend you to stop looking and just book this place – you can’t go wrong here.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this property. The home is spacious, the air conditioning is cold, the windows and doors all open perfectly to give you 180 views of the breathtaking lake Como. We sat on the balconies every night, the beds were super comfy, the bar outside serves food and beverages until early morning hours and this was a life saver a couple of times as we got done with our adventures too late a few nights to catch meals at the restaurants in the town square. The ferry leaves directly outside of the apartment and can take you to nearly every town on the lake from your doorstep. The walk to downtown Menaggio was less than 10 minutes, safe, and beautiful. We parked our rental car in the garage and it was secure the entire time: the host gave us dozens of recommendations and we feel as though we left Italy with a new friend in her. Thank you thank you! We can’t wait to be back in Como – this is the only place we will stay.

Had a fantastic 4 night stay. Barrie and Julie were incredible hosts, responsive and provided so many local recommendations for restaurants and things to see and do. The location of the apartment was perfect at the Ferry terminal, meant we didn’t have to lug cases around Menaggio. The balcony and view were perfect for sitting and having Antipasto and Wine. A wonderful stay, brilliant hosts and a fantastic location in the beautiful Menaggio. Grazie Mille.

Stayed here for a week with wife and two daughters (both early 20s). Had the best time! Ideal location! Great place. Lots of room for four of us. Drank coffee on balcony every morning overlooking lake. Barrie and Julie dropped off a wonderful bottle of red wine which went great when we made pasta. Great restaurants around. There is a market a minute away. A fun bar just as close. We rented a boat several days. Menaggio is one of the biggest towns on the lake with everything you need and a ferry point to get to Varenna and Bellagio. Just a great week! Barrie and Julie were great at recommending places. Such wonderful hosts. Can’t say enough. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here in Menaggio! It’s nice to stay in a somewhat-quieter town than Bellagio but having easy access via the ferry (right outside!). The view from this apartment is unbeatable! Would highly recommmend.

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment! It has stunning lake views from every single window and was perfectly placed just a few minutes’ walk from the heart of Menaggio and right next to the ferry port for visiting other areas of the lake. Barrie and Julie were wonderful hosts – hugely helpful and very quick to answer questions and provide information. The bar downstairs is quite noisy late at night so I’d recommend ringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, but the bedrooms have air con and with the windows closed the double glazing shut out almost all the noise, so it was a very small price to pay for such a wonderful apartment. I had a truly magical stay and am sure I’ll be back!
