New season, new veg.

Italy is renowned for eaten in season only. If you go to the market and they have run out of

rocket for example it normally means they have run out for good so come back in 12 months

and not tomorrow! In true Radio 4 Veg Talk style here are the Veg of the season..

Artichokes (Carciofi) deep fried Roman style

and Aspagarus (try with poached eggs and parmesan) now in season.

Watch out for the Aparagus parties held around the lake, great excitement
