Lenno
Lenno is well known for its golden sand man-made lido where you can enjoy a cocktail beneath miniature tented gazebos. Here you will find Villa Balbianello as featured in “Casino Royale James Bond” and “Star Wars” Just as popular for its warm climate forming part of the renowned “Tremezzina” forming arguably parts of the lake stretching from here to Tremezzo and through to Menaggio.
The idyllic lake side walks are not to be missed, restaurants, bars and supermarket make this a superb location for your holiday in the lakes. The nearby park in Ossuccio is popular amongst locals for relaxing and sunbathing. The village of Lenno also benefits from it’s “hidden” lake front which is situated away from the main road which invites you to walk around the lake in relative peace. Tourists therefore sometimes inadvertently miss this lakeside jewel!
Wi-fi cafe, petrol station and bank are all situated here not forgetting Richard Branson’s Villa Casinella residence situated to the right of Villa Balbianello and reachable by boat or helicopter only!!
