Bellagio is the quintessential chocolate box village perched on the side of a mountain enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Como.
Well worth a day trip at least as part of any tourists agenda when staying on the lake.Meander through the cobbled walk ways where you can window shop at your leisure.
Boutiques offering a vast array of fine Italian leather, silk and artwork are on display and after perusing the elegance of Italian style, stop for lunch at the 5 star Villa Serbelloni to mingle with the stars.
Especially popular with American customers least not for it’s association with The Bellagio Hotel situated in Las Vegas which replicates the real Bellagio here on Lake Como.
Interestingly enough the duet penned for Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli, “Time to say Goodbye” was recorded and sang at the inauguration of the hotel.
Near by Varenna with it’s rustic lakeside walkways and famous monastery is just a 10 minute ferry ride from here and more often than not clients who visit here are split on which is their preference. Why not see for yourself!
