Bars and night life
‘Bars’ at Lake Como can mean wine bars, which typically offer wine tastings or happy hours where you can try a selection of wines, complemented by a snack buffet. Alternatively, it can mean ‘local’ bars where residents enjoy playing cards and watching televised sport. Riotous nightlife is not so easy to find around the Lake but the Lido di Lenno turns into the nearest thing to a night club after dark.

Best wine bar on the lake with more than three hundred wines to sample! Tasting by appointment on Tuesday evenings. Drink on the terrace in the summer with the lake back drop or inside throughout the winter, in the authentic cantina interior. Selected cuts of local meats and cheeses are the perfect partner to a wonderful selection of Italian wines!
Joost & Deborah provide a warm welcome and offer excellent wine tips and knowledge that Joost has gained from 15 years experience as a sommelier here in Italy. Result – many returning guests. Find the Cantina Follie just behind the red and white café and El Timon in Tremezzo in the little back lane.

Superb happy hour 6-8pm with free canapés and snacks plus a small but well chosen selection of Italian wines. Find it in the corner of the piazza to the right of the fountain as you look from the lake.

As the name suggests, a relaxing, homely bar offering the perfect place to relax during happy hour, with a nice selection of wines, beers and prosecco ( the Italian sparking speciality) and complimentary finger buffet from 6-8pm.
Leopard skin style loungers in a large “conservatory”type building plus wide screen TV most nights to take in the local football.

Bar Trearchi-“George’s Bar”
A real local’s bar, simple and unfussy. Locals frequent the place for a game of cards, the homemade gelato (ice cream) and the chance to catch up with the local gossip and to watch Italian football and Formula 1. Your host George provides a warm welcome.
